Cub Scout Year 2012/2013 will re-introduce the "ONE SATURDAY PER MONTH" Program that was first introduced in 2010. For those of you who are unfamiliar with this Program at Pack 254, there is an at least one event planned each month that allows your Cub Scout to spend some time with his Den and Cub Scout Pack outside the normal den meeting times. Examples of "ONE SATURDAY PER MONTH" events that have been planned (some have not been finalized), include the Flag Day Celebration and Flag Retirement Ceremony on Thursday, June 14th at Bethpage UMC, a Pack campout in the mountains in July, a swimming party in August, a campout in September, a (possible) train ride and visit to the North Carolina State Fair in October, a trip to the AAF Tank Museum in Danville, Virginia in November, the annual Cookie Bake in December and the Pinewood Derby in February. Planning is still ongoing as to the specifics of the events already listed and additional events for January, March, April and May will be added soon. Don't forget, in March or April, we will be going on our annual Spring trip and the planning for that is underway.
